We offer test equipment consisting of certified metering devices and approved controlled battery emulators for direct connection to CCS charging systems. The mobile system consisting of the certified measuring device EVM and the regulated battery emulator MLoad offers high performance in a compact and modular design. Together with a battery-supported auxiliary supply, it is ideal for mobile use in car cargo compartments.  Predefined test points can be individually selected and adjusted via the 7″ touch display. The communication according to DIN70121 and ISO15118 emulates real electric-vehicle charging behavior.

Combined, this equipment is officially approved as a measurement and calibration system by the German National Metrology Institute (PTB).

Requirements for Field Calibration

The correct billing of charging processes at DC charging stations and therefore the requirements for DC energy meters are becoming increasingly important.
To prove correct metering, test systems are needed that have to fulfill a number of requirements for this task:

  • Reference energy measurement must be 10 times more accurate than EVSE meters: Energy measurement with 0.2 % accuracy for currents from 10 A and voltages from 150 V

  • Measuring points must correspond to those in the type examination certificate: Specific calibration at defined load points necessary!

  • Charging stations need real charging behavior for trouble-free operation: Electronically controlled battery emulator needed. Purely resistive solution not sufficient!
