4Q-Controller

4Q-Controller (XCS 2000) in control cabinet
Testing a converter (DUT) under realistic conditions
- Testing 2-level converters
- Testing 3-level converters
Two operating modes:
- In 4Q-mode, the device under test (DUT) is connected to a reference device (REF). The phase current, the modulated output voltage of the DUT as well as the phase angles between voltage and current can be set. The phase current is controlled in sinusoidal form, whereas the output voltage is modulated in sinusoidal form.
- In 1Q-mode, the coils on REF-side are short-circuited and isolated from the REF-converter. The output current of the DUT is then controlled in sinusoidal form.
Connected to a PC via serial interface
Discharge module (EntLAdemodul ELA)
Supply for the DC-link of the test assembly via PSU
Control cabinet (CC)
- Link between the individual modules and the integrated controller XCS 2000
- 230 VAC, 24 VDC
- Controls discharge circuit
Control system XCS 2000 - 4Q-mode: phase currents are controlled on REF-side, counter-voltages are set on DUT-side. Frequency und phase angle between phase currents and voltages can be varied
- 1Q-mode: current control by DUT-converter
