XPB-TiBa

The XPB power block from the TiBa-series is a universal converter. The modular design allows the usage of up to 6 power semiconductors (e.g. 3 Thyristors and 3 IGBTs or 6 IGBTS,...). Each power electronic switch can be controlled individually. If the TiBa is equipped with 6 IGBTs, one B6-bridge can be used as active front-end and the other B6-bridge forms the output inverter. Alternatively, it is possible to increase the output power, by operating both B6-bridges in parallel. The Powerblock features an autonomous sensor system, fast discharge as well as safety functions. By its modular concept, various power classes and circuit topologies (e.g. 3-level converter, thyristor input stage or diode input stage) are possible. Gate drive signals, measurement and error signals can be accessed through a standard D-Sub connector or more comfortable via MerkurLink.
